thumbnail Item PS1 - HYALITE OPAL - Chalk Mountain, Spruce Pine, Mitchell County, North Carolina; a layer of blue hyalite opal covers the top of a triangular-shaped granitic matrix. Note that the blue hyalite is much less common than the typical green that comes from the Spruce Pine mining district. Measurements are 3 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 2 1/2", and condition is good. $70.
thumbnail Item PS2 - GOLD - Eagle's Nest Mine, Placer County, California; gold grows up off a piece of matrix, looking like a "dragon's head". Specimen was previously in the inventory of (dealer) Kristalle, and measures 1" x 3/4" x 7/8". Condition is very good. Includes Kristalles' label. $900.
thumbnail Item PS3 - PHENAKITE - Anjana Bonoina, Madagascar; (thumbnail) a rather gemmy, terminated crystal of this beryllium silicate! A nice, quality specimen, in good shape. $68.

thumbnail Item PS5 - MARCASITE on GALENA - Gordon Mine, Picher, Oklahoma; a dull galena cube (1 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/2") has a partial covering of golden marcasite crystals spread across a few of it's faces. These (and other mid-western minerals) used be everywhere, but now it's mainly the old collections that are bringing these back on the market. This piece was an old Caveny Creations inventory specimen, in good shape. $70.
thumbnail Item PS6 - HERKIMER DIAMOND - Middleville, New York; a high-end herkimer that I've had stowed away in inventory for probably 25+ years (anyone remember the collector Ken Silvy? I purchased his whole inventory at the Tucson Show in the early 1990's, and this was one of them). Specimen is two doubly-terminated quartz crystals ("Herkimers" since they're from Herkimer, NY) - both glassy, a light-smoky coloration, and in prime condition. There's a minor bit of matrix near the base, which adds to aesthetics. Dimensions are 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 4 1/2". $350.
thumbnail Item PS7 - ANTIMONY - Harz, Lower Saxony, Germany; (thumbnail) a group of silvery antimony - roughly 3/8" in diameter. Not a mineral I come across often! $55.
thumbnail Item PS8 - Golden BERYL - Spruce Pine, Mitchell County, North Carolina; a piece of the pegmatite (mostly quartz, smoky quartz and mica) has a half-dozen golden beryl crystals embedded in it. Some crystals show iron-staining, and the longest of these is roughly 1 1/2" long. Specimen measures 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 3", and condition is good. $70.

Crystal is semi-transparant, with full measurements at 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 3 1/4". Condition is very good. (Note: a note on the old label indicates "enhydro - moveable bubble, but I didn't see it) $250.
